Coach Kelvin's coaching style is shaped by his experiences as both a young wrestler and an enlisted Marine, blending leadership principles with the core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. He emphasizes discipline, integrity, and accountability while fostering personal growth, maturity, and team cohesion.

As a competitor, he took 2nd in youth state three years in a row, won state titles in freestyle and Greco, and had the honor of wrestling for the Missouri Nationals team. He also placed 7th in Greco at Fargo. In High-School, he placed 3rd at state as a Freshman and then became a State Champion at as a Sophomore. That same year his team made history by securing four consecutive state champions.

Now, as a coach, he strives to instill these values in his athletes, leading by example and teaching the fundamentals of discipline, hard work, and perseverance.
